Four things that make
the first reply useful
None of these are required and a one-line enquiry is perfectly welcome. But an enquiry containing these gets an answer with something in it, rather than an email asking you four questions.
- Where the property is, since that decides whether an on-site visit is possible
- Which rooms, and roughly how large they are
- Whether building work is involved, or whether it is furnishing and finishes only
- A budget range, even a rough one, because it changes the recommendation more than anything else you can tell us
Photographs are welcome too, and if you already have a floor plan, an architect's drawing or an estate agent's plan, that is the single most useful attachment you can send.
No sales sequence
You will get a reply from a person, not an automated series of emails designed to wear you down. If a call makes sense we will suggest one. If your project is straightforward enough that we can answer it in writing, we will just answer it.
On the call itself, we will tell you honestly if a smaller service would serve you better than a full package, or if the honest answer is that you do not need a designer at all. That happens, and saying so costs us a sale and earns a recommendation, which over fifteen years has turned out to be the better trade.
Nothing is booked, charged or committed on a discovery call. It exists so both sides can work out whether this is a sensible fit.

Before you get in touch
Do you work in English?
Yes. Every call, every drawing and every document is in English, and your lead designer speaks it fluently. It is the reason most of our clients find us.
Can you design while I am living somewhere else?
Yes, and a good number of clients are. The work is delivered remotely as standard, so a project can run perfectly well while you are in another country waiting to move in. What we need from you is measurements and photographs, which somebody at the property can take.
Do you visit properties in person?
Sometimes, and it depends on where the property is and who is available. Tell us the location when you get in touch and we will confirm honestly whether a visit is workable and what the travel adds, before anything is agreed. Most projects run entirely remotely and are none the worse for it.
What does a discovery call cost?
Nothing. It is a conversation, not a consultation. Paid design consultancy by the hour is a different thing, for when you want actual design advice rather than to work out whether we are a fit.
I do not know which service I need.

Do you work outside Germany?
Yes, anywhere in Europe. Our designers are based across Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium, and clients are spread wider still.
