Thank you. Now send us
the Grundriss, and we will
book your session around it.
Your receipt and invoice are on their way by email. We cannot schedule the call until we have seen the flat, because the whole point is that the plan is read before we speak rather than during. Five minutes now saves twenty on the day.
Email it to hello@studioakiva.com,
subject line: Layout Clinic.
The first two lines matter most. Everything below them is a bonus, so send what you have rather than waiting until you have all of it. German documents are fine, we read them every week.
| The Grundriss | An architect's drawing, the estate agent's plan, the one from your Kaufvertrag or Mietvertrag, or a photograph of a sketch on paper. A PDF is ideal, a clear photo is fine. |
| What you are trying to decide | One or two lines. "Can we open the Küche into the Wohnzimmer and still fit proper storage" is a better brief than "we want it open plan". |
| Rough measurements | Wall lengths and ceiling height, room by room. Skip this if your plan is already dimensioned. If you are measuring, note the width of every doorway and the position of the windows. |
| A photo of each wall | Stand in the corners and take one shot per wall, including doors, windows, radiators and any stucco or Altbau detail you want to keep. These tell us more in ten seconds than a paragraph of description. |
| Anything that cannot move | The Therme or boiler, the soil stack, the meter cupboard, a Kachelofen, a radiator you are keeping. Fixed points decide layouts more often than preferences do. |
| Whether you own or rent | It changes the advice completely. If you rent, tell us what your landlord has already agreed to, if anything. |
| Who is joining the call | Names and email addresses, so the invitation goes to everyone. Partners are welcome and usually make the session better. |
No plan at all? Say so in the email and we will send you a one-page guide to measuring the flat yourself. It takes about half an hour with a tape and gets us everything we need.
You will hear from us
within one working day.
| Once your plan arrives | We confirm we have it and come back with two or three times that work, including evenings. Tell us if you have a deadline, a Handwerker waiting or a purchase going through, and we will prioritise accordingly. |
| Before the session | A designer reads the plan, marks it up and prepares at least two layout directions to test with you. You will get a calendar invitation with the video link. |
| On the day | Ninety minutes, in English, screen shared, working on your plan live. Nothing to prepare beyond being somewhere you can talk properly. |
| Your summary, in your language | We will ask on the call whether you want the written summary in English, in German, or in both. Say so during the session rather than afterwards, because it is written straight from the notes taken on the call. |
| Within 48 hours after | The summary arrives: the layouts we discussed, the recommended direction, the dimensions and constraints behind it, and what to do next. Written so you can forward it straight to an architect, a Küchenstudio or a Handwerker. |
| If you need to move it | Just tell us. Life happens and we would rather reschedule than have you take the call from a car park. |
Send the plan and we
will take it from there.
